Goal of Integrated EA
Integrated EA or Integrated Enterprise Architecture is the label we have decided to use for an essential part of the work of an enterprise architect: modelling across levels of detail.
For an enterprise to operate under an architectural umbrella models are mandatory. The architects need those models to help the enterprise move forward. For the architects’ work to deliver added value those models need to be correct, extensible, flexible and scalable and maybe most of all: maintainable.
These models are created in an enterprise architecture language such as ArchiMate. ArchiMate is well-suited to describe the highest, most abstract, level of enterprise architecture in three aspects: business, software (apps), and hardware (infrastructure).
However, there is not just enterprise architecture. To reach seamless integration, work done by business architects, software architects, security architects and others, needs to be traceable from the ArchiMate models down to the nitty-gritty details: tasks, programming language statements, network cabling.
This is the goal of Integrated EA.
In this training we will share with you the tools you need to reach that goal.
You are an enterprise architect, but you want to collaborate better with the other architectural disciplines in your organisation, especially:
- Business Architects using BPMN
- Software Architects using UML
- Infrastructure Architects using UML
You want to integrate your ArchiMate models correctly with the models created in those other languages, and create content in your Architecture Repository that is integrated, traceable, scalable and easy to maintain.
- ArchiMate 3.0
- BPMN 2.0
- UML 2.5
At the end of the training you are prepared for go for certification examinations in all following three areas:
These certifications show your competence in all three areas, but also showcase your ability to integrate architecture work throughout the enterprise. You can show you are an enterprise architect with both the breadth and depth to use enterprise architecture with maximum value!
All attendees will receive a certificate.
